This Dallas–Fort Worth project was designed with one goal in mind: create an outdoor space that could actually be used year-round.

The existing patio had potential, but like many outdoor areas in Texas, it was limited by heat, sun exposure, and seasonal discomfort. The solution was to fully enclose the space while maintaining airflow, comfort, and a clean, cohesive design that felt like a natural extension of the home.

We installed a custom screened enclosure patio cover built with dark bronze insulated roof panels. By keeping the finish to a single, consistent color, the entire structure blends seamlessly with the home’s exterior—creating a sharp, intentional look rather than something that feels added on.

Beyond aesthetics, performance was a key priority. The insulated roofing system plays a major role in regulating temperature, helping keep the space approximately 10–20 degrees cooler during peak Texas heat while still offering protection and comfort during cooler months. Combined with the screened enclosure, the patio allows for continuous airflow while keeping insects and debris out, making it a space that can be enjoyed daily.

To enhance both function and design, we incorporated several custom features throughout the build. A slatted privacy wall was added to create separation and visual interest while still allowing light and airflow to pass through. Two screened patio doors provide easy access from multiple parts of the yard, improving flow and usability. We also included a built-in doggy door—an intentional detail that makes the space more practical for everyday living.

Every element of this project was built with Texas conditions in mind. From intense summer heat to unexpected cold fronts, this structure is designed to perform in all seasons without compromising comfort.
